GUM
A youth development program of S.H.I.N.E., GUM offers educational and interactive activities that empower youth through education, faith, service, and life skills. GUM is for the youth and is led by the youth to allow them the opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills and build character. GUM is open to boys and girls ages 6 - 19.
Mascot
Inspired by chapter An-Nahl of the Qur'an, the mascot for GUM is the bee. This chapter describes the bee's way of life and how we should be more like them.

The slogan for GUM is "Do a Good Deed Daily". As a member of GUM, it is important to do something good for others without being asked.
Organization
Levels
GUM has three levels for the youth to participate and grow within the organization. The levels are based on their age group.

Business ethics
To become a member, the annual dues are $125.00 per child. For any additional children in the family is $80.00 per child. Registered members will receive an organization t-shirt, discounted activities, an opportunity for leadership positions and a bumble bee membership pin. All dues are non-refundable, non-transferable.
